Ambassador-at-Large
Level II SOE Diplomat
Created, and managed, by Ambassadors, SOE-owned companies comprise, and maintain, twenty-five percent (25%) of the businesses in the, ever-expanding, SOE Global Network. So, no matter how big the network gets due to new businesses being added, SOE will continue to contribute companies to maintain twenty-five percent (25%). And, while that means SOE only owns one quarter of the businesses in the network, for the Ambassadors who facilitate their launch, twenty-five percent (25%) of a global network, is A LOT of companies to manage.

Business Theorist Ambassadors

In Murray’s (2003) compelling analysis of Human Accomplishment, genius is seen as describing individuals who generate products that transform humanity. Those would be the people who make you wonder how one person could have thought of/accomplished that. Those scary-smart individuals, who sit at the top of the SOE Hierarchy Chart with Diplomatic Titles like Ambassador, and Chancellor, are what the SOE Global Network call Business Theorists.
A person who comes up with one, or more, theories, is called a Theorist. And, a theory is an explanation for how something works. The manual for your mobile phone is the theory of the phone. It encapsulates everything you need to know in order to successfully operate the device. The theory for how a business works, is called a Business Plan. As such, Business Theorists, or B.T. Ambassadors, are writers, and researchers, who create the business theories, or business plans, for all the SOE-owned businesses, in the SOE Global Network. Within the network, the internal organ B.T. Ambassadors are compared to, is the brain. And, externally they’re called the “heads”.
They are usually only procured if/when an Ambassador happens across a Business Theorist-in-the-making by way of a new SAC Entrepreneur, as finding one is so rare there is an SOE inside joke that Business Theorists exist almost exactly as their title suggests – in theory. However, despite being in the group with fewer numbers, B.T. Ambassadors make up the majority of Chancellor-Designates.
Writer/Researchers by nature, Business Theorists literally do the following:
-
Form an 'Idea'
-
From said Idea create a working 'Business Theory' (a.k.a. a business plan)
-
Hand Business Theory over to SOE B.o.S. (Board of Shareholders)
-
Rinse, and repeat.

As there are no official exams for them to pass, potential Business Theorists need only a Recommendation from an SOE Ambassador, in order to become an Ambassador themselves. Once the Recommendation has been approved by the SOE Council, followed by a successful Level II Diplomatic Background Clearance Check from the SOE Embassy Legal System (E.L.S.), the candidate may then be Sworn-In as an official SOE Ambassador-at-Large/Business Theorist, Level II Diplomat - subject to biannual psychiatric testing. Theorist Ambassadors' payment for services rendered, unlike other SOE Diplomats, is commission-based. As level II SOE Global Network Diplomats, Ambassadors-at-Large are also SOE Notary Publics.
Should they wish to go even further in their career, the final step, after serving as an Ambassador-at-Large for the minimum five years, is to apply for clearance to become an SOE Chancellor-Designate Ambassador-at-Large - subject to annual reviews, and biannual psychiatric testing, which will put them on the brink of being/on the road to becoming an SOE Council Chancellor.

Portfolio & Business Manager Ambassadors
An embassy’s presence within a community is meant to be of service to said community, which is why embassies are traditionally called “missions”. As such, each SOE Global Network Embassy is the responsibility of a single Ambassador, who is the head-of-mission. They’re called Ambassadors-at-Large, because the work they do is not limited to the location of their embassy, and instead, includes projects around the world – at large.

A portfolio is a collection. A Portfolio Manager, or P.M., is someone who manages a portfolio. A company’s P.M. manages a collection of products, services, and other divisions, found within the company. As general-Business Portfolio Managers, SOE P.M. Ambassadors manage a collection of multiple businesses, across the entire SOE Global Network. After B.T. Ambassadors create, and hand-over, business plans, someone needs to start implementing those plans. And, that’s where P.M. Ambassadors, the heads-of-missions, step in to lead projects to completion. P.M.s are the public liaisons for all SOE-owned businesses, are internally compared to being the heart of the Network, and externally, they’re called the "face".

Diplomatic Avenue #1: Someone with Financial formal education, training, and/or experience, can apply for a position at an SOE Global Network Embassy as a Financial Analyst – applying for, or working their way up from, entry-level to Department Director. After remaining in the Financial Department Director position for a minimum of five years they may apply for a Level I Diplomatic Background Clearance Check from the SOE Embassy Legal System (E.L.S.) – which takes roughly one year to complete, the passing of which grants approval to apply for a position as SOE Liaison Consul/Account Executive Consultant, Level I Diplomat - subject to annual reviews, and psychiatric testing.
Diplomatic Avenue #2: Someone with Business and/or Administrative formal education, training, and/or experience, can apply for a position at an SOE Global Network Embassy as a Business Administrative Officer – applying for, or working their way up from, entry-level to Department Director. After remaining in the Business Administrative Department Director position for a minimum of five years, they may apply for a Level I Diplomatic Background Clearance Check from the SOE Embassy Legal System (E.L.S.) – which takes roughly one year to complete. Once clearance has been approved, they can apply for a position as SOE Liaison Consul/Business Administrative Officer, Level I Diplomat - subject to annual reviews, and psychiatric testing.

Whether having taken Diplomatic Avenue #1, or Diplomatic Avenue #2, should they wish to go higher up in Diplomatic Rank after Liaison Consul, the next step is to be promoted to SOE Liaison Consul-General, Level I Diplomat - subject to annual reviews, and psychiatric testing. And, after the minimum five years in that position, it is onto applying for a Level II Diplomatic Background Clearance Check from the SOE Embassy Legal System (E.L.S.). Once granted level two clearance, the next step is to apply for a position as a new Ambassador’s Diplomatic Chief of Staff – a position with Diplomatic Level II Perks and considered Status, minus the official Diplomatic Level II Rank, and subject to annual reviews, and psychiatric testing.
After the minimum five years as Diplomatic Chief of Staff, the next step is to either apply for an Ambassador Recommendation from the SOE Council - which may take some time but, for most, is usually approved, or to simply ask their current Ambassador-superior for an Ambassador Recommendation Letter – which expedites the process significantly, in order to take the SOE Ambassador/Portfolio & Business Manager Exam. Once the exam is passed, they may apply for any Diplomatic openings as an SOE Ambassador/Portfolio & Business Manager, and if accepted, be Sworn-In as an SOE Ambassador-at-Large/Portfolio & Business Manager, Level II Diplomat - subject to annual reviews, and psychiatric testing. Portfolio & Business Manager Ambassadors' payment for services rendered, like all SOE Diplomats, is salary-based. As level II SOE Global Network Diplomats, Ambassadors-at-Large are also SOE Notary Publics.

NOTE: The Chief-of-Staff (C.O.S.) is, in actuality, an Ambassador’s ‘protégé’. Upon assignment to a new B.T., or P.M. Ambassador, the C.O.S. will be given an Embassy Dossier, containing pertinent information about their new ward, which will assist them in their position. During their tenure, the C.O.S. is to add, continuously updated, information to the Dossier, in order to assist the C.O.S. who will come after them, with the cycle of maintaining/updating the Dossier continuing until the Ambassador’s retirement, resignation, or passing. Similarly, the Ambassador creates, and updates/maintains, an Embassy-Logged Dossier on their assigned C.O.S., which then gets passed on to the newly-assigned C.O.S. of their (the Ambassador’s) former C.O.S., who has now moved on to become an Ambassador themselves.

The final step, after serving as an Ambassador-at-Large for the minimum five years, is to apply for clearance to become an SOE Chancellor-Designate Ambassador-at-Large - subject to annual reviews, and biannual psychiatric testing, which will put them on the brink of being/on the road to becoming an SOE Council Chancellor.
